REAL MADRID are reportedly hoping to take Barcelona youngster Marc Cucurella to the Bernabeu.
And that has reportedly alerted rivals Madrid, and in particular club president Florentino Perez.
And it seems Barca will have to act quickly before the end of the season if they want to ensure he stays with them.
The 18-year-old has already been tipped for a bright future after coming through the ranks at Barca.
But the young talent’s future is in doubt with his current deal expiring this summer.
Spanish publication Don Balon claim he has rejected the chance to extend his stay with the Catalan giants.
And that has reportedly alerted rivals Madrid, and in particular club president Florentino Perez.
They claim Madrid will attempt to prise him away from the Nou Camp at the end of the season in the hope of landing him on a free transfer.
The defender has also been attracting interest from across Europe with Chelsea, Manchester City and Borussia Dortmund said to be keeping tabs on him.
And it seems Barca will have to act quickly before the end of the season if they want to ensure he stays with them.
Cucurella has represented Spain at youth level but has yet to make an appearance for Barca’s first-team.
